Sound bath meditation
Healing vibrations to reset and relax your nervous system
Immerse yourself in sound
Allow your body to surrender to the healing frequencies of sound. Reset and relax at the deepest level, leaving you with more space and energy to take on whatever life offers.
Full moon soundbath meditation
The full moon sound bath meditation sessions include a guided meditation around the astrological sign and a few questions for you to consider. Once this is complete you settle into your rest nest using cushions, blankets and eye pillows and listen to the sound bath and guided deep relaxation technique called Yoga Nidra aka ‘yogic sleep’. You are invited to release any tensions and envisage what you wish to welcome into your life whilst taking steps to nurture these ideas.
New moon stretch & soundbath
The new moon is traditionally a time for new beginnings. These sessions begin with a slow, floor-based somatic stretch practice to unwind the body at the end of the day and then you settle in your rest nest using cushions, blankets and eye pillows and listen to the sound bath. There will be a short overview of the current astrological theme then the sounds are played. As you listen, pay attention to any thoughts that arise and take steady steps to allow your seeds of intention to flourish.
People have used sound to promote healing and relaxation for thousands of years. The frequencies generated during a sound bath are felt in the deepest parts of your body, and help you enter a meditative state.
Sound Baths
What can you expect from a sound bath?
You don’t need to ‘do’ anything to enjoy and experience the benefits of a sound bath. You don’t have to move, get undressed or try to relax. You simply have to show up, be, exactly as you are, and let the sound waves do their thing.
Each session will be different, and might include singing bowls, chimes, frame drum, sansula, gong, shakers and the voice.
There will be quiet time for you to ground yourself over some chocolate and a cup of tea before leaving.
Sound baths can also form part of yoga and massage sessions. If you would like to experience the many, profound benefits of a sound bath as part of your loyalty membership scheme, simply ask me.
Sound baths aren’t suitable during pregnancy, for those with metal plates, sound-induced epilepsy or if you have a serious medical condition.
Testimonials
What clients have to say
“I attended Joe’s ‘Super Full Moon Sound Bath Meditation’ session and have nothing but praise! I went into the practice with no idea what to expect and came away from it feeling so much more connected to myself and the world around me. For myself it felt almost like an outer body experience but I know from chatting to everyone else after that we all had different experiences during the session.
I would highly recommend attending a class! Give yourself the opportunity to relax in a calm and safe environment with fellow like-minded people for an evening. I can guarantee you will not look back! “
“Going to Joe’s Full Moon Sound Bath event is a monthly gift to myself. It’s a time to unplug, switch myself off and on again, and reboot the mental, emotional and physical system. The sound bath meditation experience is utterly relaxing and allows my mind to drift away. Joe provides everything anyone could possibly need to be comfortable and to allow the body to rest and relax. The guided meditation sets the scene and helps my brain to let go into the sound bath session. Afterwards, I feel both energised and at peace. I always find that sleep that night feels deeper and easier somehow and I wake feeling rested. If I feel tense or stressed at all, or have a busy mind leading up to the sound bath, all of those feelings seem to have dispersed and floated away by the following day. It’s the best sort of reset and I never want to miss a session!“
Calm your brain with a sonic massage.
Using various instruments, sound baths can take the listener on a deeply meditative journey. The combination of different harmonics, binaural beats and rhythms can confuse the human brain slowing down brain wave activity from the active waking state (beta) to a deeper relaxed state (theta/delta).
This stimulates the whole body to relax and is why a sound bath is sometimes called a sonic massage!
